Travel Tryout Dates Announced

Hello BYSA families of grade 2-6 players - below are the dates for tryouts for any player interested in playing travel soccer in the 2025-2026 season (Sept-June):

  • Friday 5/30 - Current 4th graders (Marshall 9v9)

  • Tuesday 6/3 - Current 2nd Graders (Akeson 7v7)

  • Thursday 6/5 - Current 5th Graders (Marshall 9v9)

  • Weds 6/11 - Current 3rd Graders (Akeson 7v7)

  • Thursday 6/12 - Current 6th Graders (Dutile or River St -11v11)

For each gender and age group, Girls will run at 5:45-6:45pm, and Boys will run 7-8pm.

There is no cost to sign up.

Once tryouts are done and players are assigned teams, you will receive an email with an acceptance link to confirm your spot on a team (usually the second half of June) - at that time you will register and pay $299.00 which covers your ENTIRE year (Sept-June) including uniforms, as travel soccer is a full year (fall and spring) commitment.

If, for some reason, your player cannot attend tryouts (injury, etc.) please register above, then fill out this Tryout Exception Form to provide details.

More communication will go out to players who sign up for tryouts specific to their night.

Last Call - Graduating Seniors - BYSA Scholarship Available!

Graduating seniors (attending ANY school) who played for BYSA - we have a scholarship opportunity available.

Unfortunately, the scholarship apps that student use at the high schools are NOT showing eligible students the application - we have contacted the guidance departments but they have have not been able to fix the issue.

5th Grade Boys Complete Futsal Season in Style

The BYSA 5th grade B5-1 team completed its winter futsal season in style, with a 11-1 win over a FC Stars club team in its last game of the season.

The boys finished the season with an 9-1 record, scoring 105 goals while only conceding 30 - a +75 goal difference! They were the only “town” team in the league, playing club teams in a U12 division.

The team was coached by BYSA Player Development Director Kevin Williams, and his son, former BYSA player and current MLS.Next Valeo FC U16 player Ryan Williams, with game day help from fellow BYSA board member Brian McGlone, Field Director.

The team now looks forward to the spring season, and knows the skills gained playing the fast paced game of futsal on the court will translate to improvements on the grass.

Calling all Seniors who play or have ever played for BYSA! We are now accepting applications for the 2025 BYSA Scholarships.

Seniors currently attending Billerica Memorial High School and Shawsheen Technical School are invited to complete the scholarship application and return it no later than March 21, 2025.

Winter Clinic Going Strong!

Over 100 players have been participating in our Winter Clinic this year in grades 1-6, and they seem to be having fun!

Led by Coach Sarah and Coach Davi of the N.E. Revs Academy, the kids have been sharpening their skills over the winter break.

Spring is coming soon enough - if you haven’t signed up for the spring in-town season yet - there’s still time, but spots are filling fast! Register today!

Travel team pre-season will start in March, and all programs will start in early April.

Gauging Interest in HS Aged Travel Teams for Spring

Every spring, BYSA attempts to run travel teams for high school aged (grades 8-13 (yes, 1 year graduated!)) based on interest.

This year, we are utilizing a pre-registration process to gauge the level of interest and number of players available to play.

Two age groups are formed for both boys and girls - current grades 8-10, and grades 11-13.

In the last few years, we’ve had enough interest to run at least 3 of the 4 age/gender groups.

Please register your interest in playing this spring here by March 20th.

Games are usually on Sunday, and the league schedules 6-8 games max, starting late April. There are few to no practices, and teams are formed by invite only, with priority for players playing high school soccer currently.

If enough players are interested, registration invites to pay and commit to a roster spot will go out in March.
