Coaching

ALL COACHES - EVERY coach is now required to register with the State - please visit the Adult Registration page to learn more, and thank you.

Whether this is your first year coaching, or your 15th, there is always more to learn.

We've provided links to coaching resources from the state and national level that provide you with a ready made set of drills appropriate for your age group.

Additionally, there are a number of coaching education opportunities available to everyone. If this is your first time coaching, the USSF Grassroots Coaching Pathway is a great way to get started - the Foundations of Coaching is the starting point, and then they have speciality courses for 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11.

United Soccer Coaches (the largest independent soccer coaching organization in the world) is now also offering a online course for first time coaches - Foundations of Coaching - free for members, and $25 for non-members.

If you are serious about being a soccer coach for the next few years, either pathway is a great start to your journey as you progress along with your kids.

BYSA is proud to announce that we have again partnered with Challenger Sports for the Spring 2019 season. Challenger's professional coaches will be providing assistance and running sessions all season long, improving our players AND our coaches.

Coaches - please use TeamSnap as your PRIMARY way of communicating with your team and parents. SportsManager is unreliable as a messaging platform.

Travel Coaches - SportsManager is how you MUST coordinate your home/away games with other towns, and Middlesex.
